**** COVID-19 ******
At FVRSM, our primary goal is to ensure that our patients have access to the veterinary care they need while also doing our best to protect our staff, clients, and the community. As of right now, we are open normal hours for all appointments, but in light of the continuing developments around the new coronavirus (COVID-19) we will be practicing social distancing and enhanced cleaning procedures along with providing alternatives for evaluation and care for your dogs. We ask that if you are having any signs or symptoms that are consistent with coronavirus or have been exposed to someone with the disease (or have signs and symptoms consistent with) that you please reschedule your appointments or consider a Televetmedicine consult instead. We want to continue to be able to provide care during this time, however if we become exposed or ill we will have to close, which could be devastating to some of our patients as well as the business. All these efforts are being made to help limit this chance and to be able to continue to be there for you and your dogs.
Car-side appointments:
For all appointments we are offering car-side service. What this means is that you will not come and stay in the clinic with your pet for exam, diagnostics, therapy, etc. When you pull into the parking lot, you call the front desk to let them know you’ve arrived and which car you are in.
- A staff member will then come out, takes any additional history (maintaining adequate social distancing) or information will be taken via phone call.
- You have the option for our staff to come to the car and bring your dog inside or you can bring them to just inside either of the 3 entrances (main, gym, exam room 3) and transfer the patient to one of our staff members.
- They will bring the patient inside and the work-up will be done by Dr. Brown and she will then call you on your cell phone or via other means of video conferencing to discuss the exam findings and go over the recommendations.
- The doctor will transfer you to a staff member to collect payment. A staff member will bring your pet to your vehicle or one of the entrances.
Telemedicine: We have televetmedicine available for our current FVRSM clients through Televet. Please see our Facebook page, website, or give us a call for more details.
All of us at FVRSM thank you for your patience during this time and we hope you and your family remain well through this crisis.
We also appreciate your continued support!
