At FVRSM, our primary goal is to ensure that our patients have access to the veterinary care they need while also doing our best to protect our staff, clients, and the community. As of right now, we are open normal hours for all appointments, but in light of the continuing developments around the new coronavirus (COVID-19) we will be practicing social distancing and enhanced cleaning procedures along with providing alternatives for evaluation and care for your dogs. We ask that if you are having any signs or symptoms that are consistent with coronavirus or have been exposed to someone with the disease (or have signs and symptoms consistent with) that you please reschedule your appointments or consider a Televetmedicine consult instead.
For appointments we ask that only one person be present with the pet in the building at a time. To limit exposure, we are going to eliminate anyone waiting in the lobby. When arriving please call before coming into the building. As we have 3 entrances, we will be having people come in and out of different entrances depending on what their appointment is for, and we will direct you to the appropriate entrance when we talk with you on the phone. We are going to ask that no one sits and waits in the reception area. There may be times that you have to wait in your car with your dog before we can have you come in, so please be patient. For those with patients with ongoing therapy we would like you to consider just dropping your dog off for therapy or waiting in the car while your dog has it’s treatment (we may have to make this mandatory for all patients at some point). If you want to wait in the building, we will be having you wait either in an exam room or the gym area. Also please don’t be offended if our therapists or Dr. Brown ask to have you maintain the appropriate social distance while your pet is having therapy. We want to continue to be able to provide care during this time, however if we become exposed or ill we will have to close, which could be devastating to some of our patients as well as the business. All these efforts are being made to help limit this chance and to be able to continue to be there for you and your dogs.
Car-side appointments: What this means is that you will not come and stay in the clinic with your pet for exam, diagnostics, therapy, etc.
Telemedicine: We have televetmedicine available for our current FVRSM clients through Televet. Please see our Facebook page, website, or give us a call for more details.
All of us at FVRSM thank you for your patience during this time and we hope you and your family remain well through this crisis.
We also appreciate your continued support!
